I have a healthy obsession with pleated skirts. From the first time I laid my hands on one, I knew this was going to be a staple in my wardrobe. One thing about pleated skirts is how flattering it is on different body shapes and how easy it is to dress up or dress down. My collection is gradually growing and today I wanted to share 3 ways to style your pleated skirt from summer to fall.
PLEATED SKIRT & OVERSIZED CARDIGAN
There are warm days in spring and not so warm days. For the days that I find it to be a bit chilly, an oversized cardigan adds a very nice comfortable touch to a pleated skirt. This cardigan is one of my favourite cardigans and I sized up for an oversize look. Pairing it with sneakers makes it all the more casual and effortless look.
PLEATED SKIRT & BODYSUIT
I usually pair this pleated skirt with a white T-shirt but I wanted to challenge myself to try something different. And this bodysuit goes perfectly well with this skirt. Bodysuits are a bit tricky and though the size was a bit snug but worked perfectly well with this outfit.
Because I wanted an elevated look I Paired it with heels. This definitely made it go from casual to fancy and the tone works.
PLEATED SKIRT & TANK TOP
I could see myself rocking this look during spring and this would be a perfect look for the office. Pairing this pleated skirt with a white tank top and adding a long cardigan elevates this look, making it both classy and feminine. I paired this look with midi brown heels but would go perfectly well with ballet flats if you wanted a more comfy feel.
Pleated skirts are easy to style and make for great wardrobe-essentials. If you’re looking for pieces that can be worn over and over again, pleated skirts will work in a variety of ways and style.
